ARMANDO VILLARREAL
Armando Villarreal is a classically trained fine artist, whose artistic journey has taken him from a small town in Nebraska to Kosovo, Iraq, Florida, and California, gleaning many awards and achievements along the way. Armando creates one-of-a-kind masterpieces in a painstaking process of powdered metal and paint, which is at once powerfully masculine, a contemplation of textures, and a substantial three-dimensional statement. In other words, a sculptured painting.
These paintings hang in respected venues throughout the world, including the permanent collection at the Center for Military History in Washington, D.C., a particularly noteworthy recognition following his tour of duty in Iraq. His interest in both airbrushing and chopper motorcycles has resulted in work that has received several automotive painting awards, including the prestigious 1st Place award in the “Super Radical Class” at The Rat Hole Custom Chopper Show in Sturgis, SD. In 2010, he won 1st Place at the Valley Rendezvous Bike Show in Madera, CA for Special Construction of Bikes over $35,000, and Best of Show—All Bikes. Today, he uses his talent and experience to express his deep reverence for sports heroes. He is and will continue to be one of the art worlds rising stars.
GARRY LIMUTI
“I look for a passion, a soulful quality, a lust for life. I want to project that soulful quality, and bring that out in my paintings.” Garry Limuti does just that with his facile use of light. Garry's artistic strength lies in his ability to fuse his remarkable technical and natural painting skills. This gives way to allowing the heart and soul of his subject to shine through, showing how he masterfully captures the translucence of light. The "under-painting" technique that Garry uses presents his subjects as if they are lit from within. It's for this reason that he prefers oils. “I work in layers, and love the translucent quality of oils; I also quite enjoy graphite as a medium. I want to be able to satisfy that creative need to create something beautiful and unique, and sports are a relevant arena to portray that.” Among his many credits of note, Garry has created murals for the Ashland, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Red Cliffs Desert Reserve in Utah and has worked with major movie studios creating epic scenic art. A painter, musician, and father, Garry currently lives and creates in Northern California
SHANE STOVER
Some people are born to create. Such is the case with Shane Stover--painter, illustrator, sculptor, model-maker, and concept designer for retail prototypes. Shane has a deep love for art and sports. His favored mediums are acrylic and colored pencil when creating figurative art. “Figurative art is something I’ve always done, and it’s really my focus. The sports heroes I paint are all my favorite athletes; there’s an emotional connection somehow. Working with Victory Fine Art is a dream come true.” The pervading theme for Stover is capturing the explosive essence of an action, the exhilarating moment in motion; harnessing what the athlete feels and the electric energy one gets while at the game. “My goal has always been to amplify the emotion…” Earning his degree in Art and Design, Shane Stover’s work is widely collected throughout the US, Europe and Canada and has been used in movies, for album covers, books, posters and for the retail product market, notably ESPN and Verizon. Shane currently lives in Los Angeles, is part of the creative team at SCPS Unlimited, and is an artist in residence at Victory Fine Art.
